Collection includes aviation-related materials collected and created by Lowell Call. Materials include educational and promotional publications, flight rating and log books, articles, guides, correspondence and additional materials related to Utah and United States aviation from WWII through the early 1980s.

Biographical/Historical note
Retired USAF Lt. Colonel Lowell Eliason Call was born 18 February 1922 in Bancroft, Idaho. He married his wife Carolyn in 1942, and together they raised 8 children. He completed his US Army Air Corps training in February 1945, and was en route to England to pilot the B-17 Bomber when WWII ended. After his release he and his family moved to Provo, Utah, where he attended Brigham Young University. He was called back into active service in the newly formed U.S. Air Force in 1947 and flew combat missions in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He taught AFROTC at both Brigham Young and Oklahoma State Universities, and, after retiring from active military service, he developed an aviation science course at Orem High School, which he taught for 11 years. He passed away in Orem, Utah, 14 February 2005. Daily Herald.
