This collection consists of materials collected by the Department of Dance at Utah Valley University. The collection includes: department information such as department correspondence, meeting minutes, agendas, and faculty information; National Association of Schools of Dance materials such as meeting minutes, agendas, policy books and handbooks; materials related to classes, such as syllabi and degree requirements; materials related to the baccalaureate curriculum transition; scholarship information such as audition notes and scholarship recipient list; materials related to the Integrated Studies Program; and other miscellaneous items.

Biographical/Historical note

The Utah Valley University Department of Dance belongs to the School of Arts. It maintains a mission to foster academic and artistic excellence through intensive technical and reflective study of dance. Offering both an Associates and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance as well as a Bachelors of Science in Movement Studies and Dance Education, the UVU Department of Dance provides instruction in ballet, modern, and ballroom techniques. The department is also home to the UVU Ballroom Dance Team and Synergy Dance Company, a modern dance ensemble.
